Yancon is also installing rooftop solar systems for our customers, providing end-to-end design and installation services for commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities. A typical project, such as a 3 MW rooftop PV system, involved outfitting a 250,000 square foot manufacturing facility with over 7,000 high-efficiency monocrystalline solar panels mounted on non-penetrating ballasted racking systems to preserve roof integrity. Our scope included detailed structural analysis, permitting, module and inverter procurement, full electrical installation with DC string wiring and AC interconnection, as well as comprehensive commissioning and utility coordination. The project utilized more than 15 miles of DC and AC cabling, multiple string inverters for optimal energy conversion, and incorporated monitoring systems for performance tracking. Over 18,000 labor hours were dedicated to safe and efficient installation, with strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols, particularly fall protection and electrical safety standards. The rooftop system offsets over 4,500 metric tons of CO₂ emissions annually, helping our customer significantly reduce their operational energy costs while supporting sustainability goals.
